What is
Clubs bulletin board?
Clubs Bulletin
board is your opportunity to post up on the web details relating to your Club.
Perhaps a simple link in advance of your own Club going the whole hog and
getting their own website, or if they feel they don't want one.
Just like the
noticeboard in your Clubhouse or Pub, only on the Web!
What sort of
information can I request to go on the site?
Anything (decent)
considered.
Suggestions
How often can
information be updated?
As often as you
like. You will be doing the work putting the detail of what you want to say; I
will update as soon as I can, normally the same day. If you send it weekly, I
will update it weekly simple as that.
How do I get
information published or changed?
If you wish to
submit information, simply send your information by e-mail to alanrobinson@lancsam.fsnet.co.uk or you could post me a
floppy disk if you don't have e-mail.
Preferred formats
e-mail, Word or Excel, but others considered as long as it does not involve me
typing!
I am happy to cut
and paste if need be, but with a little practice you should be able to get your
own page how you want it to look yourself.
If you want to
send as html files, even better, I don't need to have an input then, I just
upload!
Pictures
considered as long as not too big, suggest formatted as .JPEG's.
What's the
cost?
Nothing. As long
as it does not cost for the League to operate the site, we won't be making any
charge, and have no plans to.
What's the
catch?
None really. We
are just encouraging further use of the LAL website as a central point & mode
of communication.
What do we
make out of it?
Not a penny. You
will note our website does not include any adverts and we do not get paid for
visitors, but if this ever changed we would tell you, (from my Bermuda villa!).
Are there any
conditions?
Besides above,
particularly decency, few. We do however insist on:
What will my
entry look like?
A sample page has
been mocked up to show you what 1 page of a "Word" document looks
like.
This is only a
quick & limited sample page. The world is your oyster, you can be creative
if you wish!
